I have always had a heart and desire to connect with people on their journey toward healing, freedom, and wholeness. I believe that therapy is a collaborative experience in which you are the expert on yourself and your life. However, on our journey through life, we can often find ourselves feeling stuck, lost, or unable to identify personal desires and goals. In such situations, I have a passion for partnering with people to help them live a more meaningful and healthy life. I employ a therapeutic approach that is best tailored to suit the needs of each individual client because a “one-size-fits-all” approach is rarely effective. I also believe that therapy is an opportunity to constructively explore creativity, self-development, and individual relational patterns in a non-judgmental, supportive, and experiential environment. Every individual has a life story that should be heard, and when a desire to make change happen is paired with a healthy support system, the obstacles and hurdles in life will merely become a chapter in your life story.
I am a SYMBIS (Save Your Marriage Before It Starts) Certified Pre-Marriage Facilitator and have experience working with individuals who are struggling with depression, anxiety, life changes, transition and balance, relationship concerns, personal growth and spirituality, family-related issues, eating disorders, self-esteem, body image, and self-harm. I also have extensive experience in religious counseling, helping people overcome church wounds, forming the relationship that they desire with God, and am very open to taking a spiritual approach to counseling if my clients desire.
Aside from English, I am also fluent in the Fijian and India’s dialects of Hindi.
I am a member of CAMFT (California Association for Marriage and Family Therapists).
Feeling abandoned, neglected, rejected by your church community leaves a searing pain so deep in your heart that often, it can lead you to not only disconnect from the community but from God Himself. This is our greatest loss and greatest mistake for several reasons:
-God did not cause us the hurt, people did
-God tells us "Call on me in the day of trouble" Psalm 50:15
-By disconnecting from God and all His churches rather than just the one that caused the pain often allows the enemy to use us as a tool for wickedness.
-What we need to do most is pray and read The Word in our moments of pain. That's exactly what we stop doing, and thus hinder our own healing.
If you can relate to any of these things or have a unique story of your own, I am here to help. Let me partner with you in your walk toward healing and freedom from the pain and weight.
