About VYLC
I am currently a solo-practitioner who is ready to take the leap and expand into a group practice. I have one staff member, a part/full time office manager to help support the team and assist in the growth of the practice.
The mission of VYLC is to employ culturally diverse, culturally competent & personable counselors who are licensed with the Board of Behavioral Sciences.
VYLC offers individual, couples, and group psychotherapy to adults and adolescents with a range of presenting issues including, but not limited to, substance use, personality disorders, depression, anxiety, and suicidal or parasuicidal behavior.
Our staff provides strength-based interventions that are geared to empower our clients to overcome their challenges so they may experience peace, love & happiness, & live life to its fullest potential. VYLC and its staff understands the important role spirituality plays in many individuals’ lives and therefore are open to engaging with our clients from a spiritual place to guide the client to move towards a positive change & healing that feels natural to them.
VYLC also utilizes evidence-based therapeutic techniques to support our clients, and believe it is our responsibility to equip our clients with tools they can use for a lifetime to maintain their personal wellness & independence after our time together has been completed.
VYLC invites BIPOC (Black and Indigenous People of Color) and other interested community members to work with our staff to heal from the effects of racial trauma or race-based traumatic stress. VYLC and its staff maintain their training & continuing education on a consistent basis to stay current on best practices. VYLC and its staff highly encourage the practice of personal self-care
